Outsourcing is a very high income source for many people in India. The Indian IT industry is almost worth $58 Billions; which is a very huge business comparatively with the other countries. Because of Global recession, even the largest outsourcing providers in India have been very stingy in the pay upraises, which has also resulted to a very dramatic drop-downs in the current salaries of the Indian engineers.
There was a time when the salaries were hiked even up to 30%. And now the situation is that, there is very high level competition, but the pay scales have gone really down. However, it is expected by the end of the year 2009, the outsourcing market will pick up the trend again & there will be raise in the deals again. Though, comparatively there will be very less hiring, but it will work out as a very slow & steady procedure than a very blooming one.
Except this situation in the outsourcing field, there are many other factors that have resulted in the downfall in the outsourcing recently, like hiring of people giving low quality of work. There should be no quality compromise where outsourcing comes into the scene, as it is the other country company that depends on us for their business keeping the cost-cutting as their motive. This should be no reason for us to deteriorate their business in terms of quality.
It is the outsourcing business that has bloomed the Indian technology & economy a lot & will continue with the same in future too. But when now because of the bad situation there are problems with the salaries & hiring more people, there should be no chaos at all. The Indian outsourcing companies should keep cool & be optimistic as for the business development in India.
Outsourcing is an ever-blooming business, and so little patience will help out to grow again in this field of outsourcing.
